My writing skills have improved proficiently, and I want to keep developing and fine tuning my ability to communicate science in multiple ways, such as essays, research papers and blog articles. I find non scientific writing the most exciting to perform, mainly for it’s lack of jargon and the freedom to add humour, allowing my personality to shine through.
Hopefully, from this blog, I can change peoples perceptions about science and the world we live in. I want people to realise that science isn’t always a multitude of equations with seemingly little “real world” context. Science can actually explain why your dog chases after every rabbit he sees, and why, when you go to the zoo, animals appear to be zombified, pacing up and down.
In an ideal world, everyone would be highly educated on the phenomena which occur in the natural world. However, I know this is not possible (as even after an MSc there is still so much for myself to learn!) But, with knowledge comes power, power which can change various industries which affect animals and us all, for the better.
